The first project of Cyberc@re has finally been realized with its celebration of Valentine at Bahay Pag-ibig in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The group headed by the Overall Chairman, Ritchie F. Dizon along with the Chairman, Cesar D. Mangalindan and some members left Manila at 12 O'clock in the afternoon last February 14, 2009 to be with the abandoned elders of the said institution.

The group arrived in Bahay Pag-ibig just in time, and was warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. Edgar L. Panlilio, the Apostolate Director, along with his staff. Some members before the program explored the place and took a pictures while others had the chance to
talk to some elders. Nametags were provided by the group to the residents for them to get acquainted with the Lolo's and Lola's names. Likewise, the Cyberc@re members also had their nametags.

In the program prepared for the elders, the opening prayer was led by Sis Tessa Mangalindan, followed by the message of Bro Cesar D. Mangalindan, our Chairman. There were also games that were participated in by some elders which have brought fun and enjoyment to the crowd. Some elders contributed song numbers; Lolo Tano who is a blind resident sang “Kay Lupit ng Kapalaran”, Lolo Lito sang a kapampangan song, Lola Lucia who is in a wheelchair sang “Sa Lumang Simbahan” with Lolo Vicente her husband on her side. She was given a flower and a kiss after she sang the song which has brought the crowd to react with laughters. From Cyberc@re, Bro Ricky sang “May Bukas Pa”, and Bro Vic sang a Visayan song, “Usahay”. Sis Tessa, Sis Cherry, Sis Lanie, Sis Abby, Sis Cecile and Sis Karen danced with the elders. A word of thanks was delivered by Sis Laura, one of the staff of Bahay Pag-ibig, followed by the closing remarks of Bro Ritchie Dizon, our Overall Chairman and Sis Cherry were the emcees of the said event.

The group has distributed 68 bags of goods which contain some items of their personal use. The funds used was generated through solicitation letters distributed to friends, acquaintances and close relatives who have expressed their support in their own little way and through the passion they have in sharing their blessings for this noble project. Other donors gave in kind. The goods include face towel, hand towel, soap, anahaw fan, efficascent oil, katinko, alcohol, stainless cup, comb, rosary, religious articles, 3 in 1 coffee, biscuits and candies. The staff also received 2 boxes of adult diapers, boxes and bottles of medicines, 2 boxes of noodles, a portable suction device, a set of sphygmomanometer with stethoscope, boxes of small toothpaste and some items which were turned over by the group to them.

Joining us is the wife of Bro Harold, Sis Virgie and their son. Bro Vic’s officemate Sis Cecile Buquid and their adopted daughter, Sis Karen Castaneda were also with us. Bro Ricky’s wife, Sis Doris was also around to support us in our first project. Sis Abby, wife of Bro Dhong was also present and has joined in the program and in the distribution of goods.
